Make your cages more versatile with our stainless steel Resting Shelves. Shelf can be used to make room for multiple animals in one cage, or simply to make cats more comfortable by allowing them to climb and rest higher than the floor. Shelves, factory-installed, are available when ordering new cages, or shelves may be ordered separately for customer installation in new or existing cages. Shelves are mechanically-fastened thru the sides of the cage for stability. This prevents the shelf from ever tipping out of position. Existing arrangements must be disassembled to install shelves. Two types of shelves are available: straight and corner. Straight shelves are positioned 1.250-in. (3.17cm) from the back spanning the width of the cage, corner shelves are positioned against the back and side of the cage, typically, the shelves are installed approximately midway between the floor and the ceiling of the cage.
