Steps to Creating a REGAL Cage Arrangement

  1. Measure your space. Obtain overall width, height and depth of the available space in your facility where you plan to place your Cage Arrangement. To allow for the cage, the minimum depth of the area must be 29-in. (73.66cm) plus the width of the widest cage door in the arrangement. This will allow cage doors to open fully. Make sure you have sufficient space in front of the cage arrangement  for your staff to handle patients safely.
  2. Choose the style of the Cages in your Arrangement.
  3. Identify the Regal Cage sizes you require. A variety of sizes can be used in a single Arrangement, as long as the overall width and height of each tier is the same. An idea of the size of animals you will house in your Cages will help you select the sizes you need.
  4. Determine how your Cages will be arranged. Some Cage Arrangements are shown on this site, but if you don’t see an Arrangement that will work for you, call us with your space measurements, and we will help you design a Cage Arrangement that will include the largest cages for the total number of animals you wish to accommodate.
  5. Regal Cage Arrangements should be set upon a base. Optional SSCI Stainless Steel Base: (add casters to create a mobile base). Customer-Supplied Bases: Wood Platform Bases should be constructed level front to back and right to left of 2x4s measuring the width of your Arrangement and 29-in. (73.66cm) front to back. Trowel-finished Concrete Pad should be poured level 3.5-in. (8.90cm) high and 29-in. (73.66cm) front to back.
